Why do we have to pay in advance?

To provide you with the best prices, we cannot afford for our customers not to pay us, or we would not be able to afford to keep running, so we ask you to pay in advance.

Where are the servers based?

We have servers in both the heart of Auckland City, New Zealand and the West Midlands, United Kingdom.

What are the technical specifications of your server?

Our server is an Intel-based server running Gentoo Linux. We use Apache and PHP 4 to serve web pages, MySQL for database support, ProFTPd as an FTP server, and QMail with POP3 support and Courier IMAP are available for e-mail.

Is this Virtual Hosting?

Yes, we supply virtual hosting as it uses available resources effectively. Virtual hosting is supported by all known browsers, as the only requirement is that the browser asks for what website it wants to visit. This means that there is more than one website per IP address/server.

How are your servers connected to the internet?

We are connected through an 8192kbps fibre-optic cable. This gives us a very fast connection to serve sites from. This is over five times faster than an American-equivalent "T1" (around 1536kbps).

How long will it take my account to be set up?

From when we recieve your first payment, it can take as little as a few minutes to set up your account, depending on whether you need any advanced services set up. Domain names can take up to 3 days to transfer to our service.

How do I change my password?

Use your present password to log into our Control Panel, select the "Login" options button, and select "Change Password".

How do I set up my email?

Use your present login and password to set up a "POP3" account in your favourite email client, using Incoming Mail Server: 'mail.leagueworks.net' Outgoing Mail Server: provided by your ISP. Check your mail clients help files for exact instructions.

How are your servers monitored?

Our servers are constantly monitored for any issues by a 3rd party. Alerts are scaled to all technicians over the first 10 minutes of any issue.
